There’s a lot happening in our Launch Groups right now!  See the list below for a current listing of Launch Groups:

Monday – “Bean” home in Chapin (7pm)
Tuesday – “Manuel” home in the Harbison area (7pm)
Wednesday – “Lydon” home in downtown Columbia (7pm)
Thursday – “Mooney” home in Ashford, Irmo (6:30pm)

* Wed & Thu Groups are designed for those who are new to Columbia Church. They are currently discussing the vision and strategy of our church. These are a great “first step” for anyone interested in Columbia Church!

If you are interested in joining a Launch Group, simply fill out the Launch Group Info Form and we will find a Group that’s right for you.

Ridge Church – Trip Details

If you are interested in seeing the vision of Columbia Church and North Point Community Church in action please consider joining us as we visit Ridge Church on May 31st.

If you are interested in attending Ridge Church with us and have not yet filled out the online RSVP please do. We would love to have some idea of who to look out for on Sunday morning. We will be meeting at the Lowes parking lot, off of Harbison Blvd. at 8:30 AM. We will travel to Ridge Church in Charlotte, NC to attend their 11:00 AM service. You can get directions to both Lowes and Ridge Church by clicking the links below.

Ridge Church – from church website

Take 77 North to 485 East.

Take exit #52 for Hwy 74/Independence – towards Charlotte.
Go through one light and exit to the right immediately before the bridge (which is 51).
At the end of the exit ramp, turn right.  (you are now on 51/Matthews Township Parkway)
At the first light, turn left onto Northeast Parkway.
Your first right is the Levine Center, on DeVore Lane.

Come See The Vision In Action

We want everyone to have a chance to see the future of Columbia Church by observing other North Point Churches who are a little further down the road.  If you want to see the vision of Columbia Church in action these 2 trips are a great window to our future.

On May 31st we will be visiting Ridge Church in Charlotte, NC. We will be leaving on Sunday morning, May 31st at 7:00 AM. and returning Sunday afternoon by 4:00 PM.

On June 14 we will be headed Watermarke Church in Kennesaw, GA. and to either NorthPoint Community Church or Buckhead Church, both of which are in the Atlanta area. We will leave on Saturday, June 13 and stay in a hotel. There are 4 hotels listed below that range in price from $50 – $79 for the night, before tax. You do not have to stay at these hotels. These hotels are conveniently located to the church. We will be at Watermarke for their set-up and the 9:30 service and then we will attend a service at North Point or Buckhead Church. Following church we will head home.

Hang Out at the Lake – May 17th

We’re spending the afternoon together at the Lake Murray Dam on Sunday, May 17th.  No need to bring anything…other than your swimsuit!  Come enjoy the lake and the sun with us.

Information Meeting, April 30th RSVP

Global Night of Worship

We are excited be be a small part of what God is doing, not just here in Columbia, but around the globe.  On April 23, at 9:00 PM I would love to invite you to participate in the Global Night of Worship.

This live event will be broadcast from our Buckhead Church location.  We will join with over 50,000 people in worship.  If you are in the Atlanta area I would encourage you to go to Buckhead Church and be there live.  If you cannot make it in person, join us live here on the web at 9:00 on April 23.

Exciting News!

This is my first entry on this blog!  My name is Ben Byxbe, and I am the Service Programming Director for Columbia Church.

It is my privilege to tell you about two exciting things that are happening in Columbia Church.

We have started a third Launch Group, and more are on the way!  We now have groups meeting on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday evenings.  God is continuing to draw people to this vision, and we are celebrating daily what He’s doing.

The other bit of exciting news is that we are hosting our first Information Meeting.  This gathering is a great entry point for anyone curious about Columbia Church.  The meeting will be held at the River Center @ Saluda Shoals Park (5605 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212) from 7:00-8:00pm, Thursday, March 26th.  Childcare will be provided.  We would love to have you join us, and bring friends!  This is a low-pressure way for anyone to get exposure to JD (our Lead Pastor) and Andy Stanley (our Senior Pastor).
