You are invited to get a glimpse of what is in store for our city. Every month we host the Glimpse event to share the vision for Columbia Church, and to share a message from our Sr. Pastor Andy Stanley, or another North Point communicator.
The next glimpse event will be November 15th. We would love for you to be our guest!
Glimpse will be held at Saluda Shoals’ River Center (5605 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29201) from 10:30 – 11:30AM.
So the cat is out of the bag. At Glimpse last week we announced that our end-of-the-year giving campaign is more about an end-of-the-year generosity campaign. For every dollar we raise for Columbia Church between now and January, we will raise another dollar for the poorest of the poor both in our city and around the world. Watch this video for more information.
We’ve also posted two videos on vimeo.com showcasing the two organizations we’ve partnered with: Rwanda Clean Water Project, and Jubilee Academy. You can see them both HERE.
Or you can read all about these ministries at their respective websites:

I hope you are having a great summer and that the rest of your summer plans involve Columbia Church! Here is the August calendar. I want to briefly highlight 2 events.
First, the August 13th Glimpse Event will be our largest event to date and we need you to help.
How can you help?
1. PRAY PRAY PRAY – Pray for the continued growth of our momentum. Pray for those individuals who want to connect with our vision “to build a church that unchurched people love to attend,” and want to partner with us. Pray for opportunities to personally invest and invite someone to this event.
2. SERVE – We need help making sure this is an excellent environment, free of distractions. We need help serving children, setting up, and tearing down. We also need people to serve as greeters on host teams.
The second event I want to draw your attention to is the launch party for North Point Online. On August 16th we will gather with thousands of others around the world to launch North Point Online. We will watch a live service from our Buckhead Church location in Atlanta, share light refreshments, and briefly share what is next for Columbia Church. Contact JD or Ben for location and directions.
Do you want to experience a live service and see the vision for Columbia Church in action?
In our increasingly interconnected world, the opportunity to help lead your friends and mine into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ is greater than ever.
Join us every Sunday starting August 16th at 6:00 PM EST as we take part in the launch on North Point Online. North Point Online will be a live service telecast from our Buckhead Church campus. You can read more about this exciting online opportunity by going to NorthPointOnline.tv.
On August 16th simply come here to ColumbiaChurchOnline.com and click the North Point Online banner on the right side of our site. You will then join thousands of others as we take our mission online.
This will not remain a passive experience. We are already working with North Point and other NP partners to explore building community groups and strategic service teams around this online environment. So check the NorthPointOnline.tv/blog/ often for developments.
On May 22nd Ben Byxbe, or service program director, and Allison Conley were married. It was a beautiful thing to celebrate with them! Congratulations Ben and Allison.
Only a day after Ben and Allison returned from their honeymoon JD, our lead pastor, and Michelle Richards had their 3rd child. Harper Grace Richards was born on May 31st. Both mom and baby are doing great.
Please keep the staff of Columbia Church in your prayers as both the Byxbes and the Richards celebrate how God has blessed their families
